Tin Toy Bus Description, Bus Collector Value ($US) and Notes...
This tin toy bus was made in Japan in the 1960s by Yanonan and features a very faithful Greyhound trim that was used into the 1970s. In fact, compared to other tin toy Greyhound buses it is very realistic in many ways: the window designs and their correct amount, the six horizontal taillights on the rear gate along with nice little touches such as the sign saying, "Discover America" under the driver's window and the slogan, "For pleasure... Go Greyhound... and leave the driving to us" along the sides. Even the three ventilation louvers where the water fill would be are included.
The destination sign reads, "Detroit" and the front sports multiple license plates each reading, 123 - A5 - 1234 - BA6.
This is the only tin toy, or any toy for that matter, of a GMC 4905A, 4903 or 4107 deck (Buffalo) bus that I have seen. It is extremely rare and certainly worth searching.
