Running after the Mister Softee (or Good Humor) ice cream truck is something all of us did as children. Can still remember it was 25ยข for an ice cream cone or one of those red, white and blue Bombcicles!

Imagine my surprise when I discovered this tin friction Mr. Softee ice cream truck with working rear door? I bought it on the spot for a few bucks.

  • where can I buy one of these awesome trucks just like this? please tell me

  • I bought the US Mail version of this truck on eBay a few years ago. At one time after that, a few folks were selling these Mister Softee trucks en mass for a time. a nice piece of work. I always had a fondness for that Mister Softee truck! Matchbox or Hot Wheels came out with it's version and I recieved one from my wife. Push down on the truck and a recording plays the jingle and "Ice cream!, Tastes great!" Can pass for HO gauge.

  • Addition to my last comment: The truck pictured is 1/43rd scale. The Hot Wheels-Matchbox truck I have in my collection passes for HO gauge and plays the sounds. This truck has the friction motor...but makes no other sounds...

  • I own a Mister Softee Ice Cream Tin Friction Truck.

Can anyone tell me what the value is at this time?

    Thanks.

  • I have over 120 of these trucks. My father in law had the first Mister softee truck on the road back in 1956. I am willing to sell these trucks single or in a 12 pack.
