Model Diecast Bus Description, Bus Collector Value ($US) and Notes...

In 1995 Road Champs put out a nice series of transit diecast buses modeled after those of major US cities. This example is of a Flxible in New York City Transit Authority) colors. Destination sign reads, "M42 Crosstown."

For some reason the New York City edition of this series is not thoroughly trimmed. All the windows are not blacked out nor are the two doors. This is not the way the real buses looked as they also used a much darker navy blue instead of the royal blue on GM RTS buses. In fact, New York City had sold off all Flxible buses to other states as they had cracks in their "A" frames.

These Road Champ diecast buses are long discontinued and hard to find so you will need to check the following link frequently...

The majority of these rejected NYC units were repaired and resold to NJT. In NJT territory and with the A frames rebuilt to tougher standards, they lived a long and uneventful life in Jersey.

Sir,
My son doesn't ask for much but he is specific. He asked Santa for a UTA transit bus. (Utah Transit Authority) I wonder if you know where I can get a flxible bus that I can get painted to match our local trainsit busses. Where do you get the ones you have? How much are they? What scale are they?
Thanks
