Model Diecast Bus Description, Bus Collector Value ($US) and Notes...

In 1996 Road Champs put out a nice series of transit diecast buses modeled after those of major US cities. This example is of a Flxible in New Jersey Transit colors. Destination sign reads, "29 West Caldwell." As a longtime New jersey resident, I've ridden NJ Transit buses very, very often and have dodged a few while bicycle riding!

These Road Champ diecast buses are long discontinued and hard to find so you will need to check the following link frequently...

Another version was sold by New Jersey Transit on their website - but unfortunaly they are no longer available. Destination read "1 PENN STATION" and the bus number is 1776. The side ad panels were changed to read: "Visit us on the web at www.njtransit.com" Frankie | Jun 26, 04 | 1:30 pm

I remember when Public Service #29 was a trolley line between Montclair and Newark.

I have one of the PS #29 West Caldwell flexible models. Al Lowe | Sep 26, 05 | 12:12 pm

www.septa.org If interested in the Septa version of this Flixible...even though Septa never owned this model...visit their transit museum store web site at the url listed above. Last I heard...they had some in stock. Ray | Nov 06, 05 | 1:37 pm
