Model Diecast Bus Description, Bus Collector Value ($US) and Notes...

A nice replica of a 45 foot MCI 102 DL3 Greyhound TNM & O coach by Corgi. This was also released in a standard Greyhound trim w/o the TMN & O logo.

The box has a nice blurb on the bus and company...
Independent bus line Texas, New Mexico & Oklahoma Lines was acquired by Greyhound and subsequently became the largest operating division of Greyhound with the acquisition in 1984 of the New Mexico Transportation Company. TNM&O is home based in Lubbock, Texas. The 45-foot DL 3 has been a favorite of the motor-home community, as well as bus and charter tour companies.

This Corgi bus was released in April of 2002.

Although this bus is acurate in, looks, and size, and length, i was wondering why does it have the incorrect amount of windows.
if you are a bus fan, like myself, you will notice it has 8 windows, counting from the front driver side to the rear.
ALL 45 foot DL3 have 9 windows.
why is this flaw overlooked?

It's now a collector's item, folks.
T.N.M.&O. ceased operations officially on 01 April 2008. Greyhound Lines absorbed the routes and rolling stock.
If Greyhound does what it's good for doing, most of these prototype buses will be gone by the end of the year. Very few buses still have the "Greyhound Swoosh" logo anymore. Only the 'G' series models (7000 series). All the DL Series have the "Grey Ghost" logos.

How can I purchase one of this model?

I work a block away from the Lubbock bus terminal where TMN&O used to house their central offices years ago. I see these buses all the time as they pull in and out of the station and their maintenance shops next door. They closed the terminal earlier this summer (2008) since they merged with Greyhound and now operate out of the Citibus Transfer Plaza a few blocks away. They still run their maintenance shops so I still get to see these buses ride in and out. I just ordered this bus and hope to receive it soon.

I had no idea that T.NM.& O Lines had completely stopped their operations. I live in Wichita, I also drive for Prestige Bus Charters. Many a day when they used to have the Pueblo to Wichita Line run before they cut the route out, I would pass them on Highway 50 with their destination sign lit up with "WICHTA" on it. I had "CHARTER" on mine, and in true "BROTHERHOOD" of Motocoach operator's we would flash our lights at each other. I would always know if I was on schdule if we passed out by the Pueblo Airport. I have one of their older style coach models. I am glad I got the one I have. It is a neat model.
