Hi,
I would like to know if you have ever seen a model Greyhound bus like this one. There are no marks on it to indicate who or where it was made. It is 18 inches long 4 3/4 inches wide and 5 inches high.
My dad drove for Greyhound from 1949 to 1986 and he bought it in 1954 or 1955 from the gift shop in the Cleveland Greyhound terminal it was only sold in Greyhound gift
shops. I remember him telling me that these are hard to come by (they are few and far between) and that he has never seen another one like it anywhere and nether have I and I've been all over the web and I can't find one like anywhere. I've seen your bus collection as I have many others and no one has one like this which leads me to belive it is a very rare model bus. It runs on two D size batteries and has a whistle with it and when you blow the whistle it stops and backs up and turns at the same time and it is in very good condition.
The "vidcap" of it was taken with a security camera so it`s not to hot I am going to borrow a video camera and get some good pictures of it because the security cameras just doesn't do it justice. I have it for sale and have had an offer of $100.00 for it but I think it is worth a lot more than 100.00 since my dad was offered $700.00 for it a few years ago, but he would not sell it and he died in 2000 and me and my mom just ran across it and we are trying to get a good idea of it's value.
Thank You,
Robert Wilson

I don't know if anyone has given you an answer on this bus yet, but I just bought one and it was made by Bell Products of St. Louis, Mo. I'd have to guess it was made in the 1950s sometime. While I haven't put batteries in it, I can see it has some kind of speaker in the back which leads me to believe it makes sounds.....assuming that it works! Enjoys

Hi, I just ran across your bus. I not only collect buses, but I drive for Prestige Charter bus company in Wichta, KS. I have never seen a bus like this before, however, I am a little confussed on the dog. It appears to be running "backwards". Is this correct, or just the way the picture comes out? If the dog is running backwards, that would surely raise the value of the bus as it would indeed be rare.
Good luck.
